In many rural areas of Côte d’Ivoire, health centers face a daily challenge that most of us take for granted: limited or no access to reliable electricity. Doctors often work without lights, refrigerators for medicines, or power for basic medical equipment.
To address this need, Green Power Solar launched the project “Installation and commissioning of solar kits in 166 rural health centers”, aiming to bring sustainable and reliable energy to 332 health centers, improving healthcare services and the daily lives of local communities.
Bringing Energy… and Opportunity
So far, the project has delivered:
- 332 Solar Kits of 10 kW, including inverters and storage systems
- 1,660 Wall-Mounted Solar Street Lights
- 1,660 Pole-Mounted Solar Street Lights
Beyond the technology, one of the most rewarding aspects is training local personnel, who will install and maintain the systems. This approach builds skills, autonomy, and long-term development, ensuring benefits that last well beyond the initial installation.
Overcoming Challenges
Working in remote areas presents logistical and technical challenges: transporting equipment over rough terrain, extreme environmental conditions, and limited infrastructure.
Our teams tackle these challenges with an integrated approach, combining technological innovation, careful planning, and hands-on local training, ensuring efficient installation and reliable systems over time.
The Real Impact
“GREEN POWER has made a community happy today.”
Moments like this remind us that energy is not just electricity — it is opportunity, safety, and well-being. Thanks to these interventions, health centers can operate even without a grid connection, providing continuous and reliable healthcare to the communities that need it most.
Looking Ahead
Green Power Solar will continue investing in local training, technological innovation, and sustainable projects, aiming to replicate this model in other regions of Africa and beyond.
When technology meets community, real change happens.
