A memorable weekend for Green Power who achieved victory and a total of three podiums with the new partner team MT HELMETS MSI and a fourth with Maverick Viñales in Saturday’s Sprint Race.
The performance of our riders in Moto2 was excellent, giving us a 1-2 on the podium thanks to a Sergio García who was in form already on Friday and an Ogura who was the protagonist of a crazy comeback from 17th starting position.
It’s a shame for the CIP Green Power team, with Riccardo Rossi in contention for the victory, but unfortunately the blameless victim of an accident that ended his race prematurely.

“It was a good race, I had a very good pace and above all I felt really strong, I managed to climb back up and overtake the other riders without difficulty. But when I was in 3rd place, a rider touched me and I crashed. It’s a shame, but the positive thing about the race is that I was fast and felt great on the bike. We’ll keep that in mind and keep working like that in Barcelona. A big thank you to the whole CIP GREEN POWER team.”

“I’m very disappointed with myself. I made a lot of mistakes during the race, and even inherited a long lap at one point because I overshot the limits of the track more than once. I really wanted to do better than that for the team’s home Grand Prix. I’m learning from my mistakes and will continue to work hard for Barcelona. Thanks to the whole CIP GREEN POWER team for their hard work this weekend.”
