TRIPLE PODIUM GREEN POWER AT ROLLERCOASTER

The suggestive Algarve circuit is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of the entire calendar, nestled between the green hills and the sea and is called the “Rollercoaster” for its incredible differences in height which offer a unique spectacle and adrenaline for the riders who love run there.

Green Power and its riders were absolutely protagonists this weekend: a victory with Maverick Viñales’ Aprilia in MotoGP in the Sprint, a third place in Moto3 with Ivan Ortolà, and a third place in MotoE with Oscar Gutiérrez.

Unfortunately, bad luck struck us with Viñales’ fall in the main race, on the last lap caused by a technical problem and in Moto3 with Riccardo Rossi, forced to retire after a high-side while fighting for the top positions.

“It was a good race, even if it was difficult because everyone was very fast and there were a lot of aggressive attacks, but we know that this style of riding is typical of Moto3. I think that next time, we could try to work on the gear changes, because I was having trouble on the straights. We’ve got to keep going in this direction in Portimao, I’m very, very happy and I’d like to thank the CIP Green Power team.”

“Overall, it was a positive weekend. We improved our feeling with the bike and our set-up. As the sessions went on, we were gradually closing the gap with the fastest riders. So it’s a shame we weren’t able to set a lap time in qualifying. Things got worse on Sunday when the bike stopped on the starting grid. We were unlucky, because in the end, I had a good pace during the race and managed to catch up with a few riders. It’s disappointing because I think we could have finished in the top 17. I’m looking forward to Texas to continue the work.”
